I am interested in finding out how housing related laws, policies and social norms shape the decisions that Jamaicans make in relation to housing and my immediate focus is on St. Elizabeth.

There is no personal benefit from your participation, but the knowledge received may be of value to society. Specifically, the research findings will help in the design and implementation of a supportive housing services program in the parish of St. Elizabeth, giving housing counseling, financial and land regularization/ tilting advice to residents.

You may be eligible to participate in the study if:

1. You are a homebuyer/ homeowner or a potential homebuyer/ homeowner in the parish of St. Elizabeth.
2. You are willing to use a computer to click or type in your decisions (with guidance as needed)
3. You can read and write basic English

No other economic knowledge, specialized computer knowledge or prior experience is required.

Final selection is based on your age, sex, community location and the number of interested participants that are already in your category. Selected participants will receive $1000 JMD for their participation and will have the opportunity to earn more depending on your decisions in the activities.
